Accelerated Pathways to Licensure

InnerTrek’s accelerated program is designed for psychedelic facilitators who have already completed robust facilitator training and/or have extensive real-world psychedelic facilitation experience. Accelerated options build on previous training and experience while providing additional state-required components specific to conducting informed practice in Colorado’s state-regulated model.

Accelerated Pathways to Colorado Licensure

Accelerated Pathways to Colorado Licensure

If you previously completed a psychedelic facilitation program that was commensurate in content with Colorado’s current training requirements, you are likely eligible for InnerTrek’s accelerated path toward Colorado licensure.

You may also qualify for InnerTrek’s accelerated option if you are someone with deep experience in the psychedelic field, having worked with at least 40 participants, with at least 200 hours of experience conducting administration sessions, occurring over a period of at least two years.

If your background meets either of the criteria above (commensurate training or depth of experience) and you would like to explore InnerTrek’s accelerated option, please apply below.

Additionally, if you have met one or both of the criteria above and you are a credentialed clinician pursuing an accelerated path toward Colorado’s “Clinical Facilitator” license, we can help. InnerTrek’s Accelerated Program includes Colorado’s required 25-hour module as well as 50% of required practicum training hours toward Colorado’s Clinical Facilitator license. With more practicum and consultation offerings on the way, we’d be excited to co-create your Clinical Facilitator path with you!

InnerTrek’s Accelerated Program includes Colorado-specific didactic components coupled with experiential training, offered over a one-day seminar near Boulder, CO and a four-day experiential at InnerTrek’s Center for Psilocybin Services in Portland, OR.

After completing your pathway with Innertrek, we will certify your eligibility for Colorado’s licensure process.

You may qualify for InnerTrek’s accelerated path toward Colorado licensure if you have completed any of the comprehensive psychedelic facilitation training programs listed below. Qualifying programs need not be state-approved in Oregon or Colorado.

Curriculum

The Accelerated Program curriculum is delivered by InnerTrek’s Lead Educators, profiled here. It covers topics related to practicing in Colorado, as specified in Colorado’s Natural Medicine rules and regulations.

The program consolidates specific requirements that cannot be bypassed regardless of prior experience and training, according to Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA). Following DORA’s guidance, InnerTrek’s Accelerated Program provides an overview of Colorado’s regulatory environment and ethical codes while fashioning a “Colorado” lens through which to explore salient facilitator skills and concerns like touch, models of consent, and scope of practice.

Topics are delivered in conjunction with hands-on experiential training, providing practitioners with a right-sized window into state-regulated professional practice and an efficient pathway to licensure in Colorado.

Training Locations

Full Day in Colorado

Our (initial) Accelerated Path one-day intensive will take place at the Yellow Barn Farm north of Boulder, CO on December 13th of 2024.  While we ask that students attend in-person, we will record the day’s events so that students who cannot attend will be able to watch recordings asynchronously. Attending the experiential component in-person is required.

Tuition

Tuition for InnerTrek’s Accelerated Program is $2900 and includes the full-day seminar (including food), the 4-day experiential training at InnerTrek’s Service Center, and online components.

If you have attended a practicum at InnerTrek’s Center for Psilocybin Services after September 2023, you may opt out of the experiential component. The cost for the program without the experiential component is $1900.

A $500 deposit is required to hold your spot in the Accelerated Pathway Program.

InnerTrek will coordinate records to ensure that graduates of our Accelerated Pathway Program are positioned to obtain licensure with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA), under Colorado’s Natural Medicine Health Act.
